Is it necessary to take health supplement?
Health supplements help those who do not obtain sufficient essential nutrients to maintain their health. The commons reasons why we do not get sufficient essential nutrients are:

Not selecting very nutritious food and not eating enough variety of food to get the nutrients we need

What are the basic products for general health?
Different individuals take health supplements for different reasons. For e.g. if you are in your 20's, eating well and in good health, you may be seeking for "dietary insurance". A multivitamin supplement and vitamin c may be sufficient.

If you are in your 30's and face a lot of stress at home and at work, "stress management" is what you need. In this case, taking a high-potency B-complex supplement, which has anti-stress properties, is more appropriate.

What is the best time to take health supplements?
Opinions differ, but here are the recommendations:

Most vitamins and minerals should be taken with food to enhance their absorption. This is particularly true of oil-soluble vitamins like Vitamin A, D and E and the carotene. In addition, protein in the diet helps mineral absorption. This doesn't mean you need a full meal with your vitamins. A few bites or a piece of fruit are just as good.
The water-soluble vitamins, such as the B and C vitamins, are generally well absorbed without food, but it is recommended to still take them with food.
If you take large amounts of any particularly vitamin, such as Vitamin C, divide the doses so that you can take it two to four times a day. This improves absorption and minimizes the amount excreted.
The big exception to the "eat with food" rule is amino acid supplements. These are best taken at least 30 minutes before any other food. Amino acids in food compete with amino acid supplement, lowering their absorption.

Can I take medications together with health supplements?
It is always recommended to take medications 2 hours apart from health supplements to avoid any possible adverse interactions. However, please consult your doctor to be sure.

What are antioxidants?
There are certain nutrients, including vitamins A, C, E and selenium. They protect the body by repairing the cell damage caused by free radicals or intercepting the free radicals before they do any harm to the cell.

What are free radicals?
Fee radicals are a group of atoms that has at least one unpaired electron and is therefore unstable and highly reactive. In animal tissues, free radicals can damage cells and are believed to accelerate the progression of cancer, cardiovascular disease, and age-related diseases.

Free radicals are formed by exposures to toxic chemicals in food, water, and ai, radiation, excessive sunlight, and also partly by normal bodily processes, including metabolism of polyunsaturated fats.

Free radical formation is an ongoing process, our body has certain defense mechanisms that keep these processes under control:

Repairing the cell damage caused by free radicals
Intercepting the free radicals before they do any harm

What is the difference between Glucosamine Sulphate KCl vs Glucosamine Sulphate NaCl?
Glucosamine Sulphate KCl and Glucosamine Sulphate NaCLl are different glucosamine salts, which are stabilized by co-precipitation with potassium chloride and sodium chloride respectively. It is known that plain Glucosamine Sulphate cannot exist alone.

Studies have shown that serum potassium and the total body potassium are low in individuals suffering from rheumatoid arthritis, juvenile chronic arthritis, and conditions of stress, vomiting, diarrhea, kidney damage and the use of diuretics or cortisone.

Sodium is contraindicated in patients with hypertension, heart failure, water retention, etc.

Therefore, Glucosamine Sulphate is more effective in the treatment of arthritis conditions when used in combination with potassium salts. This means that Glucosamine Sulphate KCL may be more effective than Glucosamine Sulphate NaCl.

What is the difference between MinusFAT and MinusFAT Extra?
MinusFAT contains 270mg Ozorb® per capsule. MinusFAT Extra contains 220mg Ozorb plus Gymnema Sylvestre and Chromium Polynicotinate.

MinusFAT is taken by people who only need to control the dietary intake of fat for the management of their cholesterol and triglyceride levels. MinusFAT Extra is taken by those who want to cut down absorption of both fat and sugars.

As such, MinusFAT is recommended for those who like oily food like fried chicken wings, char kway tiao etc. And MinusFAT Extra is recommended for those who like both oily and sweet food like creamy cakes.

Can children take MinusFAT or MinusFAT extra?
MinusFat Extra is suitable for over-weight people aged 12 and above. Please calculate your Body Mass Index (BMI) by using the following formula before you start taking any slimming products.

BMI = Body weight (Kg) / Height (m) x Height (m)

If your BMI is lower than 25, you do not need to take MinusFat Extra. If you still want to try, please use MinusFat.

If your BMI is higher than 25, you may start with MinusFat Extra.

How long do I need to take MinusFAT Extra before seeing results?

What is the best method to reduce weight with MinusFAT Extra?
Understand your body and take simple measures to help reduce weight:

i. Drink plenty of water, at least 2 litres per day because water transport toxins away for excretion. Fat helps protect the body by trapping toxins. Once you allow the toxins to be excreted, fat is more easily metabolized by the body.
ii. Get regular exercise to assist blood circulation. Improved circulation assists the body to excrete toxins naturally. Brisk walk or slow jog daily or at least 3 times a week. Do not go for strenuous exercises if you have not been exercising regularly because that burns energy not fat.
iii. Take 3 to 4 capsules of MinusFAT Extra before each main meal. When you feel full during the meal, STOP EATlNG.
