| If your scars are very deep and obvious, it is advisable for you to see a dermatologist to lighten your scars by using AHA peeling, dermabrasion or laser surgery. | Pigmentation diagnosed, as "deep" is not easily eliminated. It also depends on how deep this pigmentation is. The active ingredients in lightening products have to reach the pigment cells in order to exert their effects. So, if the pigment cells are embedded very deep in the skin, the active ingredients may not reach them and even if they do, the amount may not be sufficient to exert an effect. However, it also depends on how active the pigment cells are. If they are very active, then the lightening products may not appear to be very effective too and a longer period maybe required before results can be seen. |

| I have started using the LHK High Potency Lightening Serum. After three weeks, my skin developed red patches (bit itchy) on both my cheeks and now has become hard to touch. From your description, it could be that your skin is sensitive to the LHK High Potency Lightening Serum. However, if you are concurrently using other products on the affected area, then the red patches may also be due to sensitivity to these other products.
Therapeutic Lotion 10 contains glycolic acid, which is an AHA that will exfoliate your skin's surface dead cells and revitalize it. It is common to feel a tingling sensation if you have not used any AHA products before.
If your skin is feeling dry, you should apply for a moisturizer. Follow the instructions of your doctor and keep him/her informed of any skin outcome. |
